The need
Large collections of medical images can support new research, provided teams can find and obtain the material they need. The task was to make those collections usable for research while keeping sensitive information protected.
What we built
We built a platform covering data preparation, search and retrieval. It combines an interface for exploring the available data with automated preparation, access controls and checks on data handling.

What changed
Research teams find imaging data, select material for their work and request it through one platform. The system connects existing medical imaging collections with the people who need them for research.
The 20 million figure counts imaging series, not patients. ArtNovation reported it in September 2026.
